It feels like forever since I have blogged! I've been so busy getting things ready for Christmas and our party that blogging slipped my mind. Here is a little recap about the last few weeks.
We went on a field trip to the tree house museum. Some of our friends got to participate in a gingerbread man play.
Which was extra fun because we were talking about gingerbread men at school.
We also had fun exploring the tree house.
We talked about what happens to animals and people in snowy lands, and how they have to change
their lives until spring.
The funnest part of December was doing all of our messy projects
We made Christmas trees
And decorated cookies
And since we didn't have any real snow we had to make some with shaving cream
The biggest surprise of the month was Santa visiting our class! We couldn't believe that Santa and Mrs. Clause (or Santa's grandma as the kids informed me) would take time in his busy schedule to visit us. That's how I know our class is extra special!
I hope that everyone has a great holiday vacation! We will see you next year.

Kick off to December
We had so much fun this week making decorations for Christmas. We made candy canes to hang from the ceiling
and we made presents for our bulletin board.
Our learning focus this week was the letter H, the number 3 and transportation. Ask your kids kids what happens to your hand when you say the H sound. (it makes it hot)
I also want to let everyone know that the calendars have been updated in your child's folder. Please make sure that you check your child's folder for any important notes and go through the work your child has done. They really get excited to take home their folders and show off their good work. December will start our half birthdays so make sure if your child has a summer birthday to check the calendars for their birthday days.
Next week we will will be talking about ice cream and igloos. We will also be going on a field trip to the Tree House museum on Wednesday and Thursday. Please text, call or email me with any questions.
